«No me gusta, pero la alternativa me aterra». El Voto Negativo y la intersección género-generación en España

Este estudio analiza el voto negativo (VN) en España, un sufragio motivado por el rechazo a una opción política que se percibe como una amenaza. Utilizando datos del Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS), se examinan dos variantes: el VN partidista, orientado a impedir el triunfo de partidos, y el programático, vinculado al rechazo de propuestas políticas específicas. Los resultados muestran que el VN predomina entre mujeres, jóvenes, votantes primerizos y abstencionistas, con una desalineación entre la elección del voto y la cercanía partidista o la preferencia de liderazgo. La orientación ideológica influye en su expresión, inclinándose la izquierda hacia el partidista, y el centro-derecha hacia el programático. Asimismo, el bipartidismo clásico es el principal beneficiado. El partidista favorece al PSOE –especialmente entre mujeres–, y el programático al PP –entre las generaciones mayores– y a VOX –entre los hombres mayores.
