Spanish think tanks have played a relevant role in the design of the discourses that the media have been responsible for disseminating, shaping public opinion around issues related to the economic situation of the country. This study explores the media representation of Spanish think tanks, from a quantitative point of view. Likewise, its concentration in national media and agencies during the 2009-2018 decade is analyzed. A comparative analysis is performed in the periods 2009-2013 and 2014-2018. To carry out the research, a quantitative analysis of the contents published on 62 Spanish think tanks has been developed. The results suggest that the media representation of think tanks increases gradually over the years, regardless of the economic cycle.
