Abstract

The Elections collection of the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS) has been published for eighteen years and focuses on the rigorous analysis of electoral processes held in Spain. The book reviewed here is the latest title in this collection, centered on the general elections of July 23, 2023. It is a collective volume consisting of twenty-one chapters, in which forty-one experts from eleven Spanish universities analyse various aspects of the electoral process, such as candidate selection, the election campaign, voting behavior, polarization, voter profiles of the main parties and coalitions, as well as the composition of Congress and the effects of the results on governance.
