Abstract

Humanitarian aid and cooperation for development organizations have acquired growing
protagonism in the last few decades, which has given cause for the carrying out of various studies in
which preference is given to listing and describing their external characteristics. However, very few
studies concern themselves with showing their ideas and representations. Our article pays attention
to this aspect and presents a classification of these organizations which centres on the concept they
have of aid and cooperation.
