Abstract

Based on Pierre Bourdieu´s habitus concept, this work proposes a theoretical scheme for the study of interethnic relations, highlighting contributions from three disciplines: social psychology, sociology and social anthropology. The theoretical scheme integrates micro- and macro-dimensions of ethnic identity and synthesizes the primordialist and instrumental perspectives of identity
