Abstract

The analysis and selection of items appearing in Spanish newspapers became a daily task for Juan J. Linz, who for decades collected clippings regarding the events, opinions and protagonists of Spanish political life and, in particular, everything concerned with the political, social and economic transformation that occurred during the period of transition to democracy in Spain, organizing them by subject. The global file ended up containing around 76,000 cuttings. This article summarizes the informative value of its contents and the design of the project carried out in order to turn it into a documentary tool for research, in digital format, that can be freely accessed on Internet.
