Abstract

The changes suffered by the demographyc dimension of spanish social structure in the last
quarter of century are presented here as «earthquakes», in order to underline its intensity, speediness
and turbulence. From the fall of birth rate to the increment of people in the services, the
characteristics of population that are relevants to the social system are nowadays similar to the
european demographyc patterns.
